Radical Lifestyle Experiments With Colin Wright
Radical
There’s nothing more I love than to meet other people who are doing incredible and exciting things. One common thread I’ve found between myself and other young entrepreneurs and creative types is that the people surrounding us generally don’t ‘get it’.
When people ask about my life, I’ll share things like: “I run a blog about travel, adventure, and entrepreneurship”, “I want to travel the world with just a backpack”, or “I’m trying to make earn a living online through a sustainable automated business model”. Confused faces ensue, and generally there’s a long silence, which I let linger, before someone asks the question that used to deflate my enthusiasm; “why?”… If you’re a forward thinker, you know exactly the skepticism I’m speaking of.
If you don’t have the good fortune of living in an ultra-forward-thinking start-up culture, it can be especially difficult to meet other people who share this passion for new and innovative lifestyles.
Thank goodness for the geographically liberating power of the internet…
In the video above, you’ll meet Colin Wright. A young entrepreneur, running his branding business abroad, who runs an uber-successful blog exilelifestyle.com. The best part? Every 4 months he moves to a different country, and allows his followers to vote on where he’ll live next.
I was lucky enough to connect with him a few months back via a skype interview. For all his success and worldliness he’s remarkably funny and down-to-earth; the kind of guy you’d want to have a beer with.
I was planning on sharing the interview with all my followers, but it was my first attempt at recording a skype interview, and it turns out I’m less of a tech geek than I thought. However, the video above will give you all the important details.
He’s currently residing in Iceland and just completed a TEDx talk about his radical lifestyle. He’s traveling the world, running a successful business remotely, and living life according to his own rules…If I’m honest, he’s living the life I’m aspiring to.
I’m always excited to share the stories of remarkable people, so if you have a chance check out his site, watch the video, and let his travels inspire you to take a risk or two in your life! Other people are out there doing it, why shouldn’t you!
